    Here’s a book by a personal trainer, Nicholas Bjorn, who has not only gotten himself fit, but also helped scores of his clients to lose weight, overcome obesity, the main risk factor for diseases like diabetes and heart ailments, and get back in shape. It’s not real complicated, but it does work and that’s what all dieters and people who want to get fit need – for the diet plan to work. There are some strategies in this book that are so simple, many times we just overlook them – like slowing down when we eat. If we just slow down and take our time instead of wolfing down our food, we can lose 2 pounds a month right there. Eat until we are 80% full is another tip, don’t completely eliminate carbs, increase fruit, veggies and fiber. Good fiber will make you feel full. Drink more water and never skip breakfast are some things we may have already heard, but they work. I liked the section called Swap It! Swap sugars for fruits, juliennes of carrots and zucchini for pasta, baked carrot chips for potato chips, silken tofu for cream. I also liked the section on how to deal with Restaurant Visits. We’ve all been there, but with a little planning, which Mr Bjorn shows us, we can make it through the restaurant ordeal while remaining steadfast to our diet. Good, motivating book with recipes in the back like Stuffed Sweet Potatoes, which taste good and are good for you.

    I have been collecting books on how to reduce weight while keeping yourself healthy at the same time. This book has its own unique way. It teaches me to practice “hara hachi bu”. I tried and it did helped a lot. I know i enjoyed eating but you will enjoy it more when you know you are healthy eating. Tips on how you can still keep up with your favorite foods at the same time being healthy is all in this book. Being on a diet i know sometimes feels like hell since you will have to change what you have been used to and sometimes you get to the point wherein you would start starving yourself just to lose weight faster so you can go back to your old ways. Wrong mindset sometimes can get things even worse. This book will definitely help you lighten things up and of course enjoy the art of eating at the same time.

    Although not necessarily for intermediate or advanced exercisers, this book is GREAT for people who are just starting on the path to weight loss. For anyone looking to loose a little weight that may have gained over Christmas or from recent poor habits, it’s gives you everything you need in short, quick and easy to understand bullet-points (I lost count of how many there were!) But as someone who is pretty much a fitness fanatic i can vouch for all of these methods and wholeheartedly recommend this Kindle book!
