There is a prominent saying that ‘Health is Wealth’ and healthy mind lives in a healthy body. However, today most of the people find it difficult to reduce their weight and are becoming more prone to cardiovascular diseases, blood pressure and diabetes and the core reason behind this is obesity. In this fast moving life, we do not get much time for physical exercises, so in such a situation, a healthy and nutritious diet can solve the purpose. Early Morning

Begin your day with lemon juice and honey in lukewarm water as this helps to get rid of harmful acids produced by the body.

Breakfast

Choose any one or two from the following options:

Egg white omelet+ 2 slices of brown bread, milk (skimmed milk) + cornflakes / oats/ wheat bran, fruit salad/ sprouts, vegetable poha/upma.

Take black coffee before the afternoon meal as this helps in boosting metabolism.

Lunch

Boiled/ roasted chicken / soya bean (200 grams) + brown rice (half plate) / chapatti (1), boiled dal + salad + brown rice (half plate) / chapatti ( 1-2). Take curd (100 grams) as it helps in the digestion process.

Evening

Take some citrus fruits to satisfy hunger in the evening, green tea with two Marie lite biscuit and boiled chana.

Dinner

Choose any one or two from the following options:

Boiled soya bean nutrela/ soup + salad, boiled egg 3 pcs + vegetable clear soup, chicken or tuna salad, boiled dal.

Beside the above diet, you have to keep in mind the following points:

· Avoid heavy dinner; keep at least 3 to 4 hours of gap between meal and sleep.

· Swap cold drinks with coconut water, butter milk or vegetable soup.

· Drink at least 2 to 3 liters of water every day.

· Fiber is excellent for weight loss, so consume more of raw vegetables and fruits. 

· All carbohydrates are not bad; avoid simple carbohydrates like sugar, sweet and processed food. 

· Avoid bakery products and taking water along with meals.

If you follow all the above mentioned points for 6 days in a week along with regular exercises, you are bound to lose weight appropriately. A weight loss advice from a physician would be an ideal way to know more about this.
