Overproduction of yeast like fungi in the body is the major cause of Candida. The usual portal of this infection is the wet areas of the body like the mouth and the reproductive tract in females. This infection if left unchecked can also gradually affect the stomach and the intestines.
Our body contains bacteria that are beneficial. Two examples of these bacterias are Acidophilus and Bifidus. When these strains of bacteria are eliminated from our system yeast can begin to grow unchecked and infections can occur often in the most sensitive parts of the body.
By knowing the damage Candida can cause one can successfully plan an approach to prevent this from happening. Most problems start with imbalanced diet and eating of foods that promote overproduction of yeast.
One of the best ways to stay healthy is to maintain a yeast free diet.
Foods – there are certain foods or contents that must be avoided and eliminated to prevent Candida. Best examples of foods that promote yeast are dairy products like milk, and cheese. Foods containing dairy ingredients must be eliminated. Another type of food to avoid are sweets because they contain sugar which is basically a food source for yeast and can lead to overproduction.
Beverages or Drinks – Alcoholic drinks or beverages must be eliminated. They can lead to Candidiasis.
Antibiotics – these drugs eliminate the mentioned bacteria that defenses the body from fungi or Candida. There are foods like certain meats that must be prohibited because they may contain antibiotics. Just by losing two of the important bacteria in the body one can begin to suffer from yeast overgrowth.
These are many factors that promote the overproduction of fungi in the body. This is the reason why affected people must observe a yeast free diet. This type of diet should be observed for 4 to 6 weeks. Just by watching what you eat for this short amount of time can ensure you that most of the toxins affecting your body will be flushed from your system.
There are also requirements while a person is in diet and yeast program. Since the body needs more balance and energy, it means that a person must stay healthy even when observing a Candida diet. Foods that must be eaten regularly are protein, fiber and carbohydrate rich foods. Fruits are also very good for Candida diet.
You may also want to ask for a prescription from your doctor for certain supplements that can get rid of yeast overgrowth. Usually these supplements are made of good microorganisms that prevent the production and attack of harmful microorganisms in the body.
