At one time in our life we have all needed to drop some weight quick.  Maybe you’ve been on a diet and just have that last ten pounds to go or you can’t quite fit into that dress for that special occasion that is just right around the corner.  In this article I’ll share with you 3 tips to quick weight loss.

We have all been warned that losing weight quickly is not the healthiest way to go.  There are some downfalls to dropping those pounds quick that can come back to haunt you afterwards.  But when we have a special occasion looming right around the corner, sometimes drastic measures just need to be taken.  

The 3 tips that I will be sharing with you are proven methods I have used in the past when I needed a quick intervention.  Not every plan works the same for everyone so before I go any further I’ll just add that you really should consult your doctor before you move forward.  Now with that out of the way, here are the 3 tips to quick weight loss:

1)  Fasting:
Definitely not my favorite method and it’s very hard to stick with.  It’s recommended to just fast for 24 to 48 hours but no more than 72 hours for sure.  Some people have fasted for an entire week but it’s difficult for me to go past just one day.  The people who normally succeed with this method are very disciplined.  Be sure to drink plenty or water because it helps cut the food cravings.  Sustaining from food intake for a short while is a great way to go.

2)  Cabbage Soup:
Eating cabbage soup is a low-fat, high-fiber diet that will help you get into shape fast.  You shouldn’t go more than seven days though and follow this up with a very healthy eating plan.  It’s possible to lose up to 10 pounds in as little as seven days so this can be very beneficial. The only problem with the cabbage soup is that it’s very bland and gets old real fast.

3)  Cleanse and detoxify:
There is an added benefit when you cleanse and detoxify your body.  Not only can it help you shed some weight fast, it also helps your body get rid of insecticides, pesticides, lead and other harmful substances.  Our bodies respond by coating these chemicals with layers of fat which clog your internal organs.  This method is beneficial for not only your health but also is a great way to shed those extra pounds quick.

Of course jumping right back into the way you were eating before is never the best way to keep those unwanted pounds off.  It’s best to continue with eating healthy as soon as you have dropped those extra pounds.  Staying with a nutritious eating plan is better for us overall, but it’s still okay to splurge every once in awhile.
