RECIPE: RED, WHITE & BLUE LAYERED POUND CAKE

Ingredients

  • 1 9-inch loaf-size pound cake
  • 2 cups of sliced berries, thinly sliced peaches, or other seasonal fruit
  •  
    For The Filling & Frosting

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/3 cup powdered sugar
  • Zest and juice of 1 lemon
  •  
    Preparation

    The instructions may be obvious: slice the cake, cream together the filling, top the layers of filling and frosting with a layer of berries.
